THE HERD
at Remur Park

Where It All Began
It started with one wild little girl and one patient little pony.
I’m Amelia, an early childhood and primary school teacher, psychology student and mum of two wild-hearted girls. I'm an animal lover and the founder of Remur Park Herd.

This is Dundee. Star of the show. He wasn’t supposed to be mine — and technically, he still isn’t. His story begins back in 2012, when my beautiful late mama had one too many wines and impulse-ordered two utterly ridiculous ponies off Horse Deals for my 3- and 5-year-old nieces, Matilda and Leila.
Flash forward 13 years to when my own wild, fearless, untameable daughter meets Dundee. And something shifts.

She softens.
She slows.
She learns to wait, to breathe, to listen — not because I tell her to, but because that’s what he needs from her.

Watching them together, I realised: this is what regulation and connection really look like. And I wanted other children (and their parents) to experience that too.

Remur Park Herd was born beneath my mum’s old tree, on a little farm where time moves slowly and play runs deep. It’s a space built on calm ponies, muddy feet, and the valiant daily effort of trying to tame a toddler who thrives on snacks, mud and mutiny (the sparkly unicorn, rainbow princess kind).
Meet the Team

Dundee is the heart of our herd sessions and the ultimate pony professional. Small in size but mighty in wisdom, this Shetland knows exactly how to show up for little humans—calm, kind, and quietly confident.
He adores going for slow, purposeful walks (especially if there's chatting involved) and has a soft spot for kids who move gently and speak kindly. Brushing, however? Not his love language—and he’ll let you know with a well-timed side-eye.

The Calm in the Chaos
Ella is our big, black, breathtaking Fresian - equal parts horsepower and heart. She might look like a medieval war horse, but don't let the drama fool you. She is basically a Labrador in disguise. If she could sit in your lap, she would. You’ll often find her hanging by the fence hoping someone will notice her magnificent presence and maybe offer a carrot or a cuddle.

Kahlua may be tiny, but she brings main character energy wherever she goes. A Miniature x Shetland with a big personality, she’s our resident diva—equal parts sparkle, sass, and stubbornness.
She’s surprisingly excellent at standing tied and being brushed (as long as she’s admired appropriately), but walking? Meh. Only if the vibes are right.

Rosie is our youngest herd member—wide-eyed, wobbly, and full of curiosity. A Welsh Mountain x Riding Pony foal, she’s still learning the ropes, but already shows a gentle, thoughtful spirit. You might spot her watching closely, practicing her pony manners, or trying to make friends through the fence.

No farm is complete without a few feathered commentators—and ours don’t miss a thing. With two proud roosters and four busy hens, this little flock is always scratching, clucking, and keeping tabs on the action.
Part farm crew, part comic relief, the chickens remind us to stay curious, peck at the details, and never underestimate the power of a well-timed squawk.
