🐴 About Our Sessions

What is The Herd at Remur Park?
The Herd is a collection of calm, nature-based pony experiences held on our little farm in Kangy Angy. Designed especially for children and their families, our sessions offer space to slow down, connect with animals and the land, and move gently at your own pace.

Who are the sessions for?
Our offerings are tailored for different age groups. Mini Herd Mornings are created for children aged 2–6 and include a caregiver. Holiday sessions are designed for independent school-aged children (Years 3–6). Each program is small, intentional, and child-led.

Do we need any pony experience?
Not at all. Everything we do is grounded in connection rather than riding. It’s about being with the ponies—grooming, walking, observing—not mastering them. No prior experience needed, just a willingness to slow down and share the space.

Where are you located?
Remur Park is nestled in Kangy Angy, on the Central Coast of NSW. We’ll send you directions and arrival details when you book.

🌿 Preparing for Your Visit
What should we bring?
The essentials:
– Closed-in shoes (gumboots are perfect)
– Weather-appropriate clothing you don’t mind getting a bit dirty
– A hat and sunscreen
– Water bottle
– A change of clothes and a towel (especially on damp days)

We provide everything else.

Do sessions run in the rain?
Yes – unless it’s stormy or unsafe, we run in all weather. Children love the freedom of mud and puddles, and the ponies don’t mind either. If we do need to cancel for safety reasons, we’ll offer you a credit or reschedule.

Can I bring siblings or friends?
If they’re joining the session, please book them in as well. We keep our groups small to honour each child’s experience, so every place counts.

💬 Bookings + Refunds
How do I book?
All bookings are made online through our website. If you’re having trouble, just get in touch – we’re happy to help.

What happens if we need to cancel?
We get that life with little ones isn’t always predictable.

Here’s how we handle it:
– More than 48 hours' notice: You’re welcome to reschedule or receive a credit for later.
– Less than 48 hours' notice or no-show: Unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund or make-up session, as your place was held and preparations made. The groups are deliberately kept small and intimate.

Can we transfer our booking to someone else?
We understand things change. If you can no longer attend and someone else would like to take your place, just let us know – we’ll do our best to accommodate.

🧒 Children + Participation
Can I drop my child off?
Mini Herd sessions are for children aged 2–6 with a caregiver present. Older children’s sessions (like our school holiday programs) may be drop-off – we’ll always make this clear at the time of booking.

What if my child is shy or unsure around animals?
That’s absolutely okay. We move at each child’s pace, gently and without pressure. Some children prefer to watch before they join in, and that’s part of the process too.

Are there any age restrictions?
Each session is crafted with a specific age group in mind. You’ll find age guidance on each booking page – this helps us create a safe and supported space for all.

🐾 Animals + The Farm
Are the ponies safe for little ones?
Yes – our ponies are gentle, well-loved, and used to working with children. All interactions are guided by our experienced team, with safety and respect always at the forefront.

Can we feed or ride the ponies?
Our sessions are grounded in care and connection, not performance or riding. While we do sometimes include hand-led pony walks, there’s no formal riding. Feeding and leading is by invitation only, and always supervised.
